Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Feeder Driver, you operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional line-haul and shuttle runs between UPS network facilities, executing hard departure schedules with the safety discipline and hours-of-service compliance that define the professional standard in commercial trucking.

• Line-Haul & Shuttle Operations: Drive assigned tractor-trailer combinations — singles, doubles, or triples depending on route — between UPS hubs, package centers, air gateways, and rail intermodal yards on departure schedules that cannot slip without impacting the downstream delivery network.
• DOT Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections: Complete thorough, documented DOT pre-trip and post-trip mechanical inspections of all tractor and trailer units before every departure, removing any equipment with safety deficiencies from service immediately and reporting findings through UPS's maintenance system.
• ELD Compliance & HOS Management: Maintain strict adherence to DOT hours-of-service regulations using UPS's electronic logging device system, planning your driving windows to arrive on schedule without violating federal drive-time limits.
